happy summer solstice

We've had a few thoughts of things to post about recently, but somehow we never seem to get a few minutes at the keyboard to type them out.  But Jennifer says she's working on getting her life a little more organized, including reserving some time at least every few days for blogging with us. 

We're not sure we trust her, though she did manage to get the desk cleared off.  She's needed to sort through some leaning towers of paper for months now, and the other night she finally attacked them.  Admittedly, she "sorted" the last few piles by throwing them in a box to sort again later, but at least we can see the surface of the desk.  And the air conditioner is in the window.  These two things are actually related.  Jennifer had to clear off the part of the desk under the window to get in there with the a/c, and once she'd done the first part, it just got her on a roll.

Well, we hope everyone enjoyed the longest day of the year.  It didn't feel any longer than any other day to us.  But who are we to question the calendar?
